Learn to Dive: Discover Scuba Diving

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to breathe underwater? Always wanted to try scuba diving but not sure if it’s for you? Just curious to know what all the fuss is about? Consider a Discover Scuba Diving lesson with Scuba Ventures!

Our Discover lessons allow you to try scuba diving without committing to a full certification course. You will get one full session – an introductory classroom lesson and in-water training – with one of our dive professionals. You’ll learn how to set up and safely use scuba gear and start learning the skills necessary to become a confident diver. 

This is NOT a certification course. It is meant to introduce you to what it takes to explore the underwater world. If you choose to sign up for an Open Water certification course with Scuba Ventures afterwards, the $75 Discover fee can be deducted from your certification course fee*. No prior experience with scuba diving is necessary, but participants do need to be in reasonably good physical health and have at least basic swimming skills.

Prerequisites:

• Participants must have the skills necessary to perform a basic swim test
  (consisting of a 200 yard swim and a 10 minute tread)
• All participants must be a minimum of 10 years of age
  (written consent from a parent/guardian is required for all participants under 18)

*Discover participants must sign up for an Open Water certification course within six months of completing their Discover lesson in order to take advantage of this offer. Participant is responsible for mentioning the completion of the Discover lesson at the time of making their Open Water certification course reservation.
